John Cryer (b. 1964) is married and has three children. He graduated in Hatfield, his subjects were Literature and History (B.A.). He worked as a journalist for the Tribune and Morning Star. Since 1997 he is Member of Parliament in Westminster.
He is founder of Rainham Rail Users' Group, a campaign group for better public transport. One of a group of MPs who successfully campaigned for compensation for former Far East Prisoners of War.
